Short version

Who is responsible

Metroloom (metroloom.net) is run by Anna Badanina, Belgium. Contact: contact@metroloom.net.

1. Your calculations

Everything you type into the calculator — component names, values, readings, tolerances, your decision, name and comment — is processed only in your browser. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

To keep your work after a page reload, the calculator saves it in your browser's local storage (key metroloom:v1). This data stays on your device. You can delete it with the Clear button or by clearing your browser's site data.

2. Visitor statistics

We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to see how many people use the site and which features they use (for example: a budget was calculated, a report was printed). GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not build profiles and does not store full IP addresses; it keeps the page, referrer, browser type, screen size and country. No values from your calculations are ever sent.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the service (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

3. Feedback and the Pro waitlist

If you use the feedback form or leave your email for the Pro waitlist, the form is handled by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium; data stored in the EU). We receive what you enter: your message and, if you give it, your email address.

We do not sell or share your email address and do not send newsletters without separate consent.

4. Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) and the domain is managed through Cloudflare. As with any website, these providers process technical connection data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. See the privacy statements of GitHub and Cloudflare.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Write to contact@metroloom.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

6. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
